In 2017 Kenny's original thriller pilot "Blackout" garnered interest from producers Tom Nunan (Crash, The Illusionist) and David Amann (Castle). In 2016-2017 Kenny's original supernatural pilot "Scarlet" was a Finalist at the Los Angeles Cinema Festival, the Beverly Hills Screenplay Competition, the World Series of Screenwriting competition, the Miami International Science Fiction Film Festival, a Semifinalist at Filmmakers International Screenwriting Awards, and Second Rounder at AFF. In 2014 his spec script for American Horror Story, "The Skinny" was a finalist at both the Beverly Hills Screenplay Competition and The World Series of Screenwriting. His other work has placed consistently at various screenplay competitions. Check out some samples below!eQn

IIn the works:

Kenny is writing a social horror TV anthology in the vein of Black Mirror as well as an original LGBTQ TV pilot with friend and long-time collaborator, Tricia Cooke. He is also producing a reality series called "Brooklyn Bites Back" about dog trainer Andrea Smith.

Kenny Hillman graduated from Columbia University’s MFA Film Program with honors in 2012 concentrating in screenwriting. In addition to his writing, his shorts have shown at several film festivals, aired on Logo and won audience awards in Los Angeles, New York and Berlin. But his greatest achievement thus far was making Paula Pell laugh at the Austin Film Festival in 2016. In addition to filmmaking, Kenny occasionally speaks at panels for transgender sensitivity training for institutions such as the New York Bar Association.  When not traveling between Los Angeles and Brooklyn, Kenny loves to spend time with his wife, freakishly cute twin toddlers, and tiny herd of cats and dogs.
